What to know
Once your region opens you have three months to register, and every landlord letting property in England must be registered by 14 November 2027.
The standard fee is £65 per property per year (landlord registration itself is free). During the rollout (15 December 2026 to 14 November 2027), all days before 15 November 2027 are free, so your first-year fee is pro-rated: for example, registering on opening day (15 December 2026) costs £5.34.
You’ll register yourself on GOV.UK with a GOV.UK One Login, and have 28 days from paying the fee to upload any outstanding gas safety record, EICR and EPC, along with the rent, bedrooms and occupants (or invite your letting agent via a property access link to upload them for you).
Comprent doesn’t register for you and takes no part of the fee. It keeps those documents and dates in one place and tells you what’s missing or expiring before your deadline.
